Therapeutic Services
AEROSOL THERAPY is used to produce aerosols delivered by nebulizers. Its goals are to deliver medicines to airways, hydrate retained secretions, humidification of inspired gas of patients with artificial airways and for sputum induction.
MECHANICAL VENTILATION is a method to mechanically assist or replace spontaneous breathing with the aid of a mechanical ventilator or breathing apparatus:
Invasive ventilation – a mechanical ventilation via an artificial airway which can either be through an endotracheal tube or tracheostomy tube.
Non-invasive ventilation – is the administration of ventilatory support without using an invasive artificial airway. Ventilators includes:
Diagnostic Services
ARTERIAL BLOOD GAS (ABG) the most important and reliable tool for assessing respiratory distress; ABG OPD results are released within 24 hours with the interpretation of our affiliate pulmonologists.
PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST (PFT) designed to measure how well the lungs are working. The subject shall blow into a tube connected to a machine (spirometer), to get the “best” test result, the test is repeated three times. Rest in between.
Other Services
INCENTIVE SPIROMETRY also referred to as sustained maximal inspiration; accomplished by using a device called an incentive spirometer which helps retrain your lungs on how to take slow and deep breaths, also helps increase lung capacity and improves patients’ ability to breathe.
T-PIECE WEANING only supplemental oxygen is supplied through a T-piece connected to an endotracheal tube. T-piece is an instrument used in weaning of a patient from ventilator during spontaneous breathing trials, and widely used to identify patients who are ready for extubation.
